As the name suggests this number is a free for people to call on - you pay to receive the incoming call. The main attraction of this type of number is that people are more likely to call you on it because it is free.
Imagine your advert on a page in a directory full of your competitors. Your use a 0800 number, all your competitors use a paid for number. Which one will a customer call first ?
The incoming call will only cost you a few pence, but in my opinion it is money well spent to encourage potential new customers to pick up the phone and call YOU, not your competitor.

Monthly Payments - A one off connection fee of £10.00 with a straight forward £4 per month and I will give you 100 free minutes of incoming calls every month. Any calls over your allowance will be charged at 3.5p per minute or my higher volume package of £10 per month which gives you an allowance of 300 free minutes of incoming calls every month - calls over the free allowance charged at ONLY 2.5p per minute
Pay As You Go Tariff - A one off connection fee of £10.00 with an annual admin fee of £25, you buy advance credits of incoming minutes. The cost per minute decreases with the more minutes you buy in advance. The incoming minutes are charged at -
1,000 minutes @ 4.5p per minute
5.000 minutes @ 3.5p per minute
10,000 minutes @ 2.5p per minute
